Current Projects contributing to Climate Change

1. Building Partnership

CSCCC provides a networking platform for civil society organizations, climate experts, academia, researchers, media, the private sector and concerned citizens for exchanging ideas, developing synergies and building strategies for effective engagement with policy makers.

2. Capacity Building

Strengthen CSO engagement with government by building coalitions at all levels with a wide range of actors through structured dialogue for meaningful participation in domestic policies and international processes by scaling up public authorities’ capacity to work constructively with civil society, increasing trust and competencies for building synergistic partnerships.

3. Research

CSCCC  provides networking platform for civil society organizations to monitor progress of national climate change policy (accountability) and generate research based information to support policy makers (partners in climate smart development) to find solutions for mitigation and adaptation that build resilience and reduce vulnerability at the national and sub-national level through synergistic actions for harmonized outcomes)

4. Seminars, Workshops and Conferences

Consultations at Provisional level in Balochistan, Sindh and Punjab.

5. Advocacy

CSCCC is enhancing the responsiveness of national policies to local realities by analyzing and contributing to budget proposals, monitoring and tracking public revenues and expenditure and supporting citizens’ budget literacy, linking budget to the population’s priorities through clear and accessible flow of information.

6. Pakistan Climate Change Web Portal

The Pakistan Climate Change Portal is an open-access online repository of knowledge and research on the subject of climate change specific to Pakistan. It has been developed by the Civil Society Coalition for Climate Change (CSCCC), and made possible with financial assistance from Heinrich Boll Stiftung and European Union.
