Being a federal research organization covering all aspects of water resources, PCRWR is undertaking various studies/activities for land and water management, desertification control, rainwater harvesting and monitoring of drinking water quality. 

1. Exploration of Groundwater Potential and promotion of interventions for Rainwater Harvesting and Bio-Salione Agriculture in Sindh
2. Trans-Boundary effects on Ground and Surface Water along the Eastern Border of Pakistan
3. Integrated Approach for Control of Water-logging and Salinity in Low Lying Areas of Sindh
4. Improved Land and Water Conservation Practices to enhance Wasteland Productivity in Thal Desert
